Tues., March 12th AND Thurs. March 14th, 2019, 4-8:30 pm daily. (must attend both March sessions)

What is youth mental health first aid?
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training course designed to give
members of the public key skills to help an adolescent who is developing a mental health
problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The 8-hour course covers a range of
common disorders and potential crises such as helping a young person who is having a
panic attack, contemplating suicide or struggling with substance abuse.
Who should take a youth mental health first aid course?
This course is designed for adults who work with or are around youth ages 12-18 on a
regular basis including (but not limited to): teachers, coaches, juvenile probation officers,
youth program and school staff, clergy, parents, health and human service providers and
more. Training is for individuals who do not have any background as a mental health professional .

The course is FREE, but requires a $30 check to hold the spot?check will be returned upon full completion of the 8.5 hour course.

Welcome! We are glad you are interested in participating in the Jan 26, 2019 Youth Mental Health First Aid training, 8-4:30 pm at Appleton North H.S. In order to ensure that registrants attend, participants will send in a $30 check, made out to AASD, with registration. When participants complete the entire training, the check will be returned. If participant does not attend, the check will be cashed & deposited. To register, please contact Cindy at firstname.lastname@example.org
