Bellin Psychiatric Center & Clinical Services: Inpatient Hospital Services - Children & Adolescents Program

Bellin Psychiatric Center provides acute inpatient hospital services to children and adolescents when it is medically indicated, in order to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment. Our care team includes board certified psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, case managers, and behavioral health specialists. Our treatment focus is on crisis stabilization, and our patients will have an opportunity to learn new coping skills to better manage stress and symptoms related to their illness, as well as the challenges facing children and teens (bullying, school, family concerns). Educational materials on mental health, as well as medication management are provided to patients and their families. Services are designed to meet the needs of the child or teenager at their appropriate developmental level. There is a separate Child Unit (5 years to 12 years of age) and Adolescent Unit (13 years to 17 years of age).

  • Application Process:Call the Psychiatric Center to request a screening at (920) 431-5533. Screenings are completed at no charge over the phone or in person with one of our intake specialists. Once a screening request is submitted, our trained specialists screen individuals to determine the appropriate care and services, verify state and private payor benefits, and schedule services.
  • Documents Required:Please bring insurance card and identification on the day of your visit. Some insurance companies require that clients receive a referral from your primary care physician before being can be examined by a specialist.
  • Eligibility Requirements:Children (Ages 5 – 12) Adolescent (Age 13 – 17) Short-term detox program is available for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18
  • Payment/Insurance Accepted:Private Insurance, cash, checks money orders, VISA and MasterCard, Medicare & Medicaid.
